Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me: More Music From The Motion Picture

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me: More Music From The Motion Picture

This time around they've included the Guess Who's version of "American Woman," so we're off on the right foot. Sorry, Mr. Kravitz. This compilation of tunes from the second Austin Powers movie includes such obvious hits (yet obvious enough to be left off the first volume) as the Monkees' childlike and charming "I'm a Believer," Marvin Gaye's slinky "Let's Get It On," and the Zombies' eternally gasping "Time of the Season." To carry this soundtrack farther down classic rock road, the producers have included a sprightly remix (Calderone mix) of Madonna's "Beautiful Stranger," Fantastic Plastic Machine's retro-goofy and aptly named "Bachelor Pad" (in your head, you can see Mike Myers going into back spasms), and a brand new Bangles song ("Get the Girl"), which might as well have been dusted off from 1966 with its tight harmonies and chiming 12-string guitars. Time to, uh, shag. --Rob O'Connor

More of the Room In Which No One Can BE-have Baby, Yeah! Our Austin Powers Guest Room

I basically get to put anything crazy in this room. I got the book art online, Sex and the Anglo Saxon, how appropriate, LOL!! The other title you can see is, Sex is Everywhere! Very Austin Powers! Anyway, they are actual pulp fiction-esque paperback covers that never made it onto the books. I got them from a lady online who had tons of this kind of stuff. Anyway, check out the notes if you like! Have a Shagadelic long weekend!! =o) ***All rights to my images are reserved. Production Notes
Theatrical Trailer

If you don't think Austin Powers is one of the funniest movies of the 1990s, maybe you should be packed into a cryogenic time chamber and sent back to the decade whence you came. Perhaps it was the 1960s--the shagadelic decade when London hipster Austin Powers scored with gorgeous chicks as a fashion photographer by day, crime-fighting international man of mystery by night. Yeah, baby, yeah! But when Powers's arch nemesis, Dr. Evil, puts himself into a deep-freeze and travels via time machine to the late 1990s, Powers must follow him and foil Evil's nefarious scheme of global domination. Mike Myers plays dual roles as Powers and Dr. Evil, with Elizabeth Hurley as his present-day sidekick and karate-kicking paramour. A hilarious spoof of '60s spy movies, this colorful comedy actually gets funnier with successive viewings, making it a perfect home video for gloomy days and randy nights.
